What is The Dental Machine?
A dental buying group and community for independent practices. We negotiate group pricing with vendors and connect you with peers — so you save on supplies, labs, software, and more without joining a corporate DSO.
Does it cost anything to join the buying group?
There’s no membership fee if you participate in the community: show up in our Facebook group, say hi, and try to help other dentists when you can. That’s the “cost” — not dollars. If you engage with the community in good faith, you stay in the group at no cash charge.
How do I get member pricing from a vendor?
Browse our vendor directory, open a vendor you’re interested in, and click Request member pricing. The vendor receives your practice details and reaches out to set you up. You can track every request in your dashboard.
Will other members see my practice information?
No. Members cannot see other members. Only you, the vendor you contacted, and our admin team (for support) can see the information relevant to your requests.
Am I obligated to buy from every vendor?
No. You pick which vendors to contact. There’s no obligation to use a vendor just because you requested pricing.
How long does a vendor take to respond?
Most partners respond within a few business days. Status updates appear in your dashboard, and you can opt in to email alerts when a vendor changes your request status.
Can I join if I’m part of another group or DSO?
It depends on your agreements elsewhere. We’re built for independent practices; check your existing contracts or reach out to us if you’re unsure.
How do I turn email notifications on or off?
After you sign in, go to Settings in the member area. You can control emails for request status updates and optional tips from The Dental Machine.
